Paku & Belacan??

Owh well.... NOT THIS ONE!!

This is not 'paku' (nail) but in Sarawakian accent it is called paku' (with a silent 'k' in the end of the word), that means a particular wild vegetables ususally eaten in Sarawak (and Malaysia as well).

Meanwhile, belacan is a shrimp paste that is made of fermented ground shrimp, sun dried and cut into many blocks of paste. It usually used in most Southeast Asian cuisines to give a more spicy taste.

Owh...back to 'Paku & Belacan'. I don't mean the ones I explaied just now...

It is about these two guys, from the United States. Well, are they JUST ordinary Westerners? Paku (left) is from Arizona and Belacan (right) is from Utah. Both of them are 22 y.o.. Both of them have been to Sarawak (specifically in Bintulu) between 2008-2009, serving as volunteers (I'm not sure in what field).

But somehow their errand to Sarawak, caused them able to speak fluent bahasa pasar (informal speech) and a little bit of Iban language. At a point they could crap whatever they like in a successive local loyar buruk (rambling, in other word, talking ridicule)!

But now both of them are in Utah to work and they somehow missed Malaysia, especially Sarawak very much that they expressed their yearning through some videos in Youtube, all of them are in Malay! Well, at least I shared this because I'm proud that somebody that are not from our country are not ashamed to speak Malay in their own country even though it is not their own mother tongue...

Hari ini ada 'mood' tulis blog dalam Bahasa Malaysia...yg skema??

No No ...NO!!

pas tuh bersiap2 awal, nek bas awal, mo pigi SST

ada tutorial jam 9pg (dlm jadual)

skali ada msg dtg, dlm jam 8.30pg

dr kmi pnya Mdm (lecturer)

bilang dia begini : " Dan, kta jmpa nex wik ja"

WAAA ~~

minggu ni ja, 4 kali klas uda kna kensel...yg pasti akan bnyk replesmen klas ne huhuhuhu...

tp xpa la, ari ni dpt juga pigi online awal2 pagi td huhuhu...

tp time saya tunggu bas td, ada la 1 ikur (ekor) kucing tiba2 mendekati...

trus dia membaringkan diri atas kaki saya...

hooo....

ilang juga boring2 tunggu bas hehehe

ni lagi gmbr dia....

Nothing lost, just only me.....and

I'm back!!...here in my blog

3 months away without blogging, it seems that my stories before this have been kept with me alone, rot time after time...hehehe

so, its JULY!! World Cup craze also on the top of the world hehehe....I'm still happy that my team of choice is still on the run, Spain......

by the way, my holidays will end so soon....so sad~~
will be going back to the 'beloved' campus in few days time, (chuckles)

owh, u mean, my holidays?? So far, I have been through a lot of memorable events throughout the holidays, May until July (now). My sis' engagement was one of them. So far i know, it was festive season (Gawai) and I can hardly to resist myself enjoying beer with my friends and family (though at the same time I was not able to get drunk hehehehe).

Outings?? YES!! As much with my friends, long time friends (Nick, Pres, Cliff, Brian, Len, Damian, Yun Yun, Gerald, Mang).....we went to the Waterfront (most of the time), eating Kolok Mee at the Open Air stalls, and just strolling around Kuching till the edge of the day heheheh....I do clubbing, but not my choice of hanging out though I went once during the holidays, thanks to Jeyu & friends for that...I went to a lot of places, unfortunately no any DSLR was accompanying me that time....

I do CHANGE in my physical appearance....most of them!! I gain 2kgs in a single month...woooohhhh.... XD

Tennis....hmm, so far I'm so, so active with that during the holidays, thanks to Julian, Juntie Ollivia & friends who shared the passion hehe......

Not to forget WordChillOut and Youth Gatherings by Empowered.....they really freshed my soul up with praises n word of God......

Soon I'll be missing all of these, but let be the priority put into the first page of my diary, STUDY.

Its almost April.....last night's rain give a little relief and blessing to KK since the drought overwhelmed KK and its surroundings in early February..Praise the Lord!!

but still it is outrageously hot here....

sighs

well....so many events happened since February until this month...some of them are so memorable...

this was and is a hectic period for me, so I always get exhausted most of the time

there's always replacement classes, classes on Saturdays which I have no choice but have to attend, and MIDTERMS!!!!

well, there's always reward for each hardwork i am doing...

I discovered a good place to crave for good Bak Kut Teh in KK.....Somewhere in Gaya Street

then, Y.O.U. (Youth Of Unity Concert) on 27th February 2010....so far I say it was a very outstanding event ever, as it was the first time held in CSGUMS.

CSGUMS Annual General Meeting.....

then, fellowship at St. Simon Pulau Penampang.....and of course I can say that there's always the 'very best part' of the party kekekeke....

I watched three movies in March:

Alice In The Wonderland

Solomon Kane...which I can say : the BEST among ol d best!! :-)

Daybreakers....:-/...not so happy bout it coz FINAS cut most of the scenes.....

ok dats ol 4 2day, bnyk merepek sa skrg kekeke....

Its been a long time I stuffed my blogsite with stories about other people, not myself..

.....and Wow!!

The end of the 1^st chapter of my busy life for the past quarter of the semester and I still do not believe that everything goes on so fast!!!....so many things happen in UMS for the last 2 months of July and August

Welcoming Gathering….DONE

KDPNC 9……DONE

Tun Dr. Mahathir’s Speech Session….POSTPONED

Early this month UMS was the host for FFM 09 (Festival Filem Malaysia 2009), and most artistes around the country came to KK...hum, nothing to freak about, but Cyril, sixtus and I managed to get ourselves to the FFM finale night...

And the most memorable times I found during the last mid-term holidays….so, so and so exciting so-called vacation….hahaha. The most craziest thing was that we don’t bother about mid-term exams and due assignments to submit when the holidays end, my friends and I went to a lot of places in KK for almost every single day!!

Trip Crews : Boy, Caren, Pres, Sixtus, Sheerah, Elvi, Anas, Alisa, and for sure, me!!

Trip venues : 1 Borneo….KK Box Karamunsing…..Tg. Aru beach…..818…..Centre Point…..Monsopiad Culture Village

Who cares anyway?? As long as we can get rid of ‘study-tension’ for a while, at least we went to places that we have not been….Cuti2 Malaysia katakan….hehehehe

At first, we went to..........Monsopiad Culture Village!! Huh, rain coming during our trip, can be a very gloomy day at that time….never mind, very fun somehow….

Centre Point…..kalau sudah teda tempat len mo pigi, di sini la, CP…..paling2 pigi tengok wayang d GrowBall Cineplex hehehe

818……dua2 tempat kami pigi, Nosoob dan di TV1......heh!! Bukan la, di Kingfisher. Tired of jalan2, the best solution to get your stomach pampered with food…hehehe....huh, how much i missed the cooling Lo Han Guo (T_T)......n the unforgetable fish soup (urm....)

Haiya, really miss the holidays so much, where a lot of memorable things happened during the precious times….
