In Just One Click...
Until now I don't know how much I give my time for my passion...photography.
Back since November 2009, I unintentionally holding a DSLR camera of a friend of mine during an event and started with a few clicks of photos. I found out that the outcome not just a picture, or an ordinary image. It somehow explains everything what I see through my very own eyes, recorded on a plane of thousands of pixels.
YES!! I get addicted taking photos since the moment then!! Hahaha...I did not hesitate myself taking pictures anytime and anywhere. As long as I have camera (cellphones, compact SLR, DSLR, etc.) I would not hold them for exhibition, I'd love to take at least one shot of moments before my eyes.
Even my passion climaxed when I created a page of my photography in Facebook.
But one thing I know why I can't stop taking photos...I want people to see that there are the goodness of life around them, JUST around them that they might overlooked. Some people don't realize this, but through the pictures, it is hoped that they may open the eyes of those who have not opened yet...Erm, I speak too 'flowery' but I hope that you could understand. Heh, it's like I have my own recipe of taking photos...

A Night at 2011 Sabah Fest
I’m back!!! From a long time vanish from blogging...
I have been gone through the semester with a lot of memorable moments, happy, sad, entertaining and also boring. However, anything happens I’m glad that all have passed..
I have been to the Sabah Fest 2011 recently, and it was the first time I been to the event. Well, what is it all about then?
This year, Sabah Fest took the theme from a folk tale “Pa’pakang : The Odyssey of Seven Brothers”, a tale that depicts seven brothers found themselves a magical stone, the Pa’pakang while bathing at the Liwagu River nearby their village. They were fighting and arguing to possess the stone for himself. Then the father intervened, so he decided to throw the stone and it divided into seven pieces, one each for the brothers. Their father said that each piece is a legacy and told them to keep it safely, to prove their identity as siblings and as a reminder of their place of origin, Nunuk Ragang.
As Nunuk Ragang faced famine, plague and increasing population, all of the brothers fled except the youngest, named Aki Lintobon become the headman of Nunuk Ragang after his father died.
One night, Aki Lintobon dreamt of the calamities that befallen on his village, and separation of his brothers. When he woke up in the morning, he felt an overwhelming sense of sadness and burning desire to find his brothers. So he told the villagers about this and decided to find his brothers, brought along his piece of the Pa’pakang stone.
One by one, he found his brothers, according to the chronology, Aki Tomui of Pitas (Orang Sungei), Aki Runsud of Kudat (Dusun Rungus), Aki Datoo’ Garudin of Kota Belud (Dusun Tindal), Aki Tinggoron of Lahad Datu (Dusun Subpan), Aki Longguwai of Penampang (Kadazan) and lastly Aki Turumpok of Keningau (Murut), 
but Aki Turumpok somehow vanished into the supernatural world so the Murut headman named Ampal united all of them with the Pa’pakang stone on behalf of Aki Turumpok.
It was a very colourful and cultural extravaganza that almost 2000 people packed the Sutera Magellan Resort ballroom that night, which was graced by His Excellency The Tuan Yang Terutama Yang Di Pertua Negeri Sabah. The story of Pa’pakang was told in a very special way, where the odyssey of the brothers reveals almost all cultures of Sabah.
Well, it’s worth of having a pass to the event anyway. . .

Paku & Belacan??
Owh well.... NOT THIS ONE!!
This is not 'paku' (nail) but in Sarawakian accent it is called paku' (with a silent 'k' in the end of the word), that means a particular wild vegetables ususally eaten in Sarawak (and Malaysia as well).
Meanwhile, belacan is a shrimp paste that is made of fermented ground shrimp, sun dried and cut into many blocks of paste. It usually used in most Southeast Asian cuisines to give a more spicy taste.
Owh...back to 'Paku & Belacan'. I don't mean the ones I explaied just now...
It is about these two guys, from the United States. Well, are they JUST ordinary Westerners? Paku (left) is from Arizona and Belacan (right) is from Utah. Both of them are 22 y.o.. Both of them have been to Sarawak (specifically in Bintulu) between 2008-2009, serving as volunteers (I'm not sure in what field).
But somehow their errand to Sarawak, caused them able to speak fluent bahasa pasar (informal speech) and a little bit of Iban language. At a point they could crap whatever they like in a successive local loyar buruk (rambling, in other word, talking ridicule)!But now both of them are in Utah to work and they somehow missed Malaysia, especially Sarawak very much that they expressed their yearning through some videos in Youtube, all of them are in Malay! Well, at least I shared this because I'm proud that somebody that are not from our country are not ashamed to speak Malay in their own country even though it is not their own mother tongue...

Everyday God
I just want to share with you, a reflection on God's love towards us. I heard this song before in my friend's room in campus, and it really touches my heart, make me feel how much does God really loves us and somehow I feel at peace that I am really comforted by Him. I'm back!!...here in my blog
3 months away without blogging, it seems that my stories before this have been kept with me alone, rot time after time...hehehe
so, its JULY!! World Cup craze also on the top of the world hehehe....I'm still happy that my team of choice is still on the run, Spain......
by the way, my holidays will end so soon....so sad~~
will be going back to the 'beloved' campus in few days time, (chuckles)
owh, u mean, my holidays?? So far, I have been through a lot of memorable events throughout the holidays, May until July (now). My sis' engagement was one of them. So far i know, it was festive season (Gawai) and I can hardly to resist myself enjoying beer with my friends and family (though at the same time I was not able to get drunk hehehehe).
Outings?? YES!! As much with my friends, long time friends (Nick, Pres, Cliff, Brian, Len, Damian, Yun Yun, Gerald, Mang).....we went to the Waterfront (most of the time), eating Kolok Mee at the Open Air stalls, and just strolling around Kuching till the edge of the day heheheh....I do clubbing, but not my choice of hanging out though I went once during the holidays, thanks to Jeyu & friends for that...I went to a lot of places, unfortunately no any DSLR was accompanying me that time....
I do CHANGE in my physical appearance....most of them!! I gain 2kgs in a single month...woooohhhh.... XDTennis....hmm, so far I'm so, so active with that during the holidays, thanks to Julian, Juntie Ollivia & friends who shared the passion hehe......
Not to forget WordChillOut and Youth Gatherings by Empowered.....they really freshed my soul up with praises n word of God......
Soon I'll be missing all of these, but let be the priority put into the first page of my diary, STUDY.

March scribbles....
Its almost April.....last night's rain give a little relief and blessing to KK since the drought overwhelmed KK and its surroundings in early February..Praise the Lord!!
but still it is outrageously hot here....

well....so many events happened since February until this month...some of them are so memorable...
this was and is a hectic period for me, so I always get exhausted most of the time
there's always replacement classes, classes on Saturdays which I have no choice but have to attend, and MIDTERMS!!!!
well, there's always reward for each hardwork i am doing...
I discovered a good place to crave for good Bak Kut Teh in KK.....Somewhere in Gaya Street
then, Y.O.U. (Youth Of Unity Concert) on 27th February 2010....so far I say it was a very outstanding event ever, as it was the first time held in CSGUMS.

then, fellowship at St. Simon Pulau Penampang.....and of course I can say that there's always the 'very best part' of the party kekekeke....

The Room

This is excellent and really gets you thinking about what will happen in Heaven.
17-year-old Brian Moore had only a short time to write something for a class. The subject was what Heaven was like. "I wowed 'em," he later told his father, Bruce. It's a killer. It's the bomb. It's the best thing I ever wrote." It also was the last.
Brian's parents had forgotten about the essay when a cousin found it while cleaning out the teenager's locker at Teays Valley High School in Pickaway County
Brian had been dead only hours, but his parents desperately wanted every piece of his life near them, notes from classmates and teachers, and his homework. Only two months before, he had handwritten the essay about encountering Jesus in a file room full of cards detailing every moment of the teen's life. But it was only after Brian's death that Beth and Bruce Moore realized that their son had described his view of heaven.
It makes such an impact that people want to share it. "You feel like you are there," Mr. Moore said.. Brian Moore died May 27, 1997, the day after Memorial Day. He was driving home from a friend's house when his car went off Bulen-Pierce Road in Pickaway County and struck a utility pole. He emerged from the wreck unharmed but stepped on a downed power line and was electrocuted.
The Moore 's framed a copy of Brian's essay and hung it among the family portraits in the living room. "I think God used him to make a point. I think we were meant to find it and make something out of it," Mrs. Moore said of the essay. She and her husband want to share their son's vision of life after death. "I'm happy for Brian. I know he's in heaven. I know I'll see him.
Here is Brian's essay:
In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the room. There were no distinguishing features except for the one wall covered with small index card files. They were like the ones in libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order. But these files, which stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endless in either direction, had very different headings.
As I drew near the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one that read "Girls I have liked" I opened it and began flipping through the cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one. And then without being told, I knew exactly where I was. This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in a detail my memory couldn't match. A sense of wonder and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly opening files and exploring their content. Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.
A file named "Friends" was next to one marked "Friends I have betrayed." The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird. "Books I Have Read," "Lies I Have Told," "Comfort I have Given," "Jokes I Have Laughed at."
Some were almost hilarious in their exactness: "Things I've yelled at my brothers." Others I couldn't laugh at: "Things I Have Done in My Anger", "Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents." I never ceased to be surprised by the contents Often there were many more cards than expected. Sometimes fewer than I hoped. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived.
Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each of these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed this truth. Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature.
When I pulled out the file marked "TV Shows I have watched," I realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly, and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows but more by the vast time I knew that file represented.
When I came to a file marked "Lustful Thoughts," I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test its size, and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded. An almost animal rage broke on me.
One thought dominated my mind: No one must ever see these cards! No one must ever see this room! I have to destroy them!" In insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now I had to empty it and burn the cards...
But as I took it at one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it as strong as steel when I tried to tear it. Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh.
And then I saw it. The title bore "People I Have Shared the Gospel With." The handle was brighter than those around it, newer, almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand.
And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that they hurt. They started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and cried. I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all. The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes.. No one must ever, ever know of this room I must lock it up and hide the key. But then as I pushed away the tears, I saw Him.
No, please not Him. Not here. Oh, anyone but Jesus. I watched helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't bear to watch His response. And in the moments I could bring myself to look at His face, I saw a sorrow deeper than my own. He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes.
Why did He have to read every one? Finally He turned and looked at me from across the room. He looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that didn't anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with my hands and began to cry again. He walked over and put His arm around me. He could have said so many things. But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me.
Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end of the room, He took out a file and, one by one, began to sign His name over mine on each card. "No!" I shouted rushing to Him. All I could find to say was "No, no," as I pulled the card from Him.. His name shouldn't be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, and so alive.
The name of Jesus covered mine. It was written with His blood. He gently took the card back He smiled a sad smile and began to sign the cards. I don't think I'll ever understand how He did it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side. He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, "It is finished."
I stood up, and He led me out of the room.. There was no lock on its door. There were still cards to be written.

If you feel the same way forward it to as many people as you can so the love of Jesus will touch their lives also. My "People I shared the gospel with" file just got bigger, how about yours?

the outlet was quite packed, with customers
i sat nearby a group of European tourists
they were also enjoying their lunch there
but one thing that amused me was...
after they finished their lunch
they juz picked up the tray, with all the food wrappers from their meal
leaving their seat with those things
and throw them away into the rubbish bin
by themselves
that we locals consider that gesture should be the job for the McD workers
it makes me think
of a good example that we should also practice...anywhere we are....
